Jigs – Dry Process
allair® uses a dry process to upgrade materials of different densities and create marketable products at the lowest possible cost
The allair® jig performs many of the functions of the alljig®-wet jig using a dry process that involves the use of air to create the jigging motion.
Its main application is dry upgrading of coal. By enabling the treatment of coal that has high ash or sulphur content it allows profitable exploitation of previously unusable reserves.
Applications
- Dry beneficiation of coal
- Cleaning raw and recycling materials like rubble or slag
- Material that exhibits a relatively high difference in density between components to be separated
Features
- Processes particles up to 50mm diameter
- Throughput rates 20 to 100 tons per hour per machine
- Totally enclosed construction to eliminate dust pollution
- Dust collectors to capture and contain the dust
- Fully automated
Benefits
- Improved product quality - significant increases to calorific value of coal
- Reduces sulphur and ash content without adding moisture
- Improved product consistency
- Environmentally friendly – no waste water or dust
- No fines dewatering, water improvement or slurry impoundment
- Suitable for areas with scarce water supplies
- Low capital cost
- Low operating cost
- Efficient automatic refuse removal
- No clean coal moisture penalties
